Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where can I purchase products? Right here using our online marketplace. Sales questions? Email us at sales@ndhfarm.com and we will follow up in under 24 hours! We remind you to never send credit card, financial information, or other sensitive confidential data via email to anyone. The farm will never email you asking for this information. Our online store accepts credit card payments. In person we accept cash, credit, checks, or Zelle.

What are your business hours? We do pickups and in person sales on Saturdays 11a-1p and deliver on Fridays:

Saturday Pick Up between 11:00a – 1:00p. Order cut off for Saturday pick up is the Friday before 2:00p.

Friday Delivery between 1:00p – 5:00p. Order cut off for Friday delivery is the Thursday before at 4:00p. If you will not be home for delivery please leave a large cooler with ice packs outside your door for us to place your delivery. We will not leave produce exposed outside without your cooler to place it in for protection because it will spoil (or be eaten by animals.)

Can I shop in person?: YES! We are at the farm from 11:00a-1:00p every Saturday. We will have a limited supply of fresh crops picked available for folks who would like to shop in person with us. If you’re interested in something specific let us know!

Federal Holiday hours may vary. We will let you know details specific to any delivery changes to accommodate holidays based on crop needs. Please email/text/call with any concerns.

Do you really commute by bicycle? Yes! Except when nature doesn’t lettuce! (haha get it let us?)

Can I tour the farm? The inside of our farm is not open to the public.  Check out Freight Farm’s virtual YouTube introduction here: We’ll do our best to post pictures and updates on social media of our farm in operation.

I placed an Order but DID NOT receive a confirmation email? We do send confirmation emails out letting you know when we receive your order. If you don’t receive an email shortly after you place your order please check your junk folder and/or spam filter to make sure that Next Door Harvest, NDHFarm.com emails can be delivered to your inbox.

Is your farm organic? We are not certified organic. However, we ARE an eco-minded, sustainable farm operation. We use non-gmo seeds (and some organic seeds) but we are not a traditional farm. We operate a hydroponic farm using nutrients in water to provide our plants with nutrition. This uses about 90% LESS water than traditional farming.  Because we control our environment, we do not use traditional pesticides, herbicides and preservatives or spoilage inhibitors to farm, harvest or deliver our crops.  Organic farming is regulated by the USDA and began historically with soil based agriculture.
Are your products non-gmo and/or are your products bio-engineered? We use non-gmo seed so our crops are not bio-engineered.
Are your products gluten free? Because we do not grow any grain crops we do not have gluten present in our crops.
Are your products food allergen free? We do not grow wheat, soy, sesame, peanut, or any tree nut crops in our farms. We do not allow any outside food to enter into our farms so there are no allergens from: egg, milk (dairy), fish, shellfish or crustaceans. For more information on allergens visit www.fda.gov

Why is this this the future of farming? Don’t just take our word for it- check out what these universities (among others) have to say on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKT4pILLS0g and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XESu_IUb1MQ
